Learn more about James Holmes, lead coach for this workshop:

As a native of South Carolina, I served in the U. S. Navy for twenty years. I retired as a Chief Hospital Corpsman after having served domestically and internationally. Throughout my service, I was fortunate to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management and Master’s degree in Public Administration, Specializing in Healthcare Management. I have continued my professional growth by actively participating in leadership programs. This gave me an opportunity to learn more about the place where I live and thrive to make a difference. Additionally, I have increased my professional and personal growth by serving on various community and organizational committees. I am employed in the healthcare industry. It has allowed me to grow and learn that becoming a certified coach rounds out a more holistic perspective of one’s overall health.

Having lived in Medina, Ohio for 17 years with my family, we have embraced it as our home and a stable foundation for our continued quality of life.

Well Women Retreat

“Since the beginning of time, humans have had a constant interaction with the earth. Our ancestors would come in contact with the earth’s surface on a daily basis: walking, hunting, gathering food and water, communing, playing, relaxing, and more. Nearly everything they did required a barefoot connection with the earth…Today, in our industrialized world, many people go days, weeks, or even longer without coming in contact with the surface of the earth itself. We are cooped up in our homes or offices, spending more time indoors consuming technology and less time interacting with the source of all that technology… We rarely experience earthing benefits… we rarely touch the ground, rarely touch a tree, and rarely touch the source that creates every cell in our bodies” (See this brilliant article).

Release it all.  Let the sole of your boots connect with the earth, and your heart connect with new relationships.  Rest in the embrace of the woods, surrounded by the intricacies of the delicate forest floor, grounded by the certainty of the deeply rooted oaks and pines.  Be rooted on your yoga mat allowing the four corners of your feet to sink deeper as your shoulders melt away from your ears, and the corners of your mouth turn up.  Slip away and cozy up on the deck of the cabin, letting blank pages of a journal give you the freedom to reflect, dream, and conquer. NAP. HIKE. EAT. LAUGH. The Well Women Retreat is waiting for you.  Are you ready for it?

The Wellife Woman- EZER Women's Retreat

Excerpt from "For the Love" by Jen Hatmaker:

"Sister, come near and listen: You are smart and capable, strong and wise. You are an overcomer, a prized member of the body of Christ. You have so much to offer...If anyone has made you feel invisible or less-than, write a new narrative on your heart. The Bible was used to subjugate women for centuries, but the New Testament reveals women leading the church, prophesying, teaching, and co-laboring with men...

You are sanctioned, honorable operative in the splendid task of loving God and people. You have a role. Your place is secure. If not you, who?"

The Ezer Retreat is here to help women struggling with their identity as women and also children of God with talents and gifts and what it means to be both. This retreat will include instruction on the word "ezer," the first identifier for women used in scripture, a time of meditation, lunch, and three creative sessions to help bring alive what it means to be an ezer in our lives, communities, and world.
